ATTRACTIONS

The Kimberley Riverside Campground is lucky to be located in beautiful Kimberley, BC, alongside the pristine St. Mary’s River. The Campground is located an 8 minute drive south west from Kimberley's town centre (known as the Platzl). With the Purcell Mountain Range to the west, and the Canadian Rockies to the East, there are countless activities and attractions simply waiting to be discovered! Our office is open for reservations year round and we would be delighted to assist you anytime of the year. Please note during the winter months our office hours are limited.

  • Walking & Hiking Trails

    Over 4 kms of walking and hiking trails are spread throughout the campground. Bring your camera and check out the many scenic viewpoints as you stroll along the river, hike along the the high trails overlooking the Rocky Mountains to the east and the St. Mary River Valley to the west.

    Hiking is therapeutic, and we could all use a bit of that in our lives. From vast mountain views, to hidden treasures, Kimberley, BC is the perfect place to just... Breathe.

  • Kimberley Nature Park

    Directly across the road from the campground lies the Kimberley Nature Park. The KNP is one of the largest municipal parks in Canada at 800 hectare (1800 acre) in size. Its varied terrain and diverse ecosystems provide endless opportunities for recreation and education. Join volunteers from the Kimberley Nature Park on a FREE guided hike, departing from the campground on Saturday mornings . Please inquire at the office for dates and sign-up information.

  • Fly Fishing

    The campground is located alongside the pristine St. Mary River. The St. Mary River is home to some of the best fly-fishing in North America and is considered a world class fly fishing destination. Some great little fishing holes are to be found alongside the campground. The St. Mary River is catch and release only and requires a classified license, in addition to your regular fishing license.   • Mountain Biking

    With over 500 Trails, Kimberley, BC is home to hundreds of mountain biking, e-biking, and leisurely biking trails with the added benefit of incredible Kootenay views! There are trails fit for every skill level. From wicked mountain terrain, to relaxing rides along the very popular rails to trails path. Gather up the group, get your helmets on, and get ready for the outdoors!

  • Lakes

    Kimberley is home to many lakes that are perfect for leisurely days and intense water sports. One of our favourites connects with the river that goes right through the campground!

    Located west of the campground (only 15km’s away!) is St. Marys Lake. St Marys is a 295 hectare recreational lake at the base of Bootleg Mountain that is 930 metres above sea level.

  • Golf
